We are excited to announce that R1 is now officially approved to accept WV Hope Scholarship funding for eligible students.

This creates an incredible opportunity for students with a passion for aviation to begin exploring flight training, aviation education, and future career pathways at an early age.

Through hands-on learning, simulator training, and real aviation experiences, students can build confidence, discipline, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation in STEM and aviation.

Lily has become a big part of R1 Simulation & Training, and her accomplishment marks more than just a certification. She has helped pioneer the path for rotary training through R1, setting the foundation for future students who are interested in pursuing helicopter ratings.

Big congratulations to Dakota Browning on achieving his first solo flight ✈️

Dakota has been training with R1 Simulation & Training since September, and the progress he’s made in just a few months has been impressive. First solo is a major milestone in any pilot’s journey; it represents preparation, discipline, and confidence in the cockpit.
