✈️ The Road to the World Championship Starts Today! 🏆

Today marks the start of official practice sessions for all of the teams competing in the 2026 World Aerobatic Championship at Mason City Municipal Airport!

Before the flying begins, teams gathered this morning for the first official safety briefing—an important step as pilots prepare for the precision and skill required at the highest level of aerobatic competition.

📅 Coming Up:
Sunday, August 23 — Opening Ceremony at City Park in Clear Lake
Monday, August 24 — Official competition begins!

And remember—the public is welcome to come watch the action anytime during practice or competition. No tickets are required, and the airport terminal parking lot provides an excellent vantage point to watch the aerobatic action. The competition box is located directly over the airport, putting you right in the middle of the action!

Bring a lawn chair, find a good spot, and watch some of the world's best aerobatic pilots take to the sky! ✈️🇺🇸🌎
