Harp Oklahoma

Harp Oklahoma Harp Oklahoma is a six day workshop camp being held at the University of Oklahoma June 9 - 15, 2019 open to pedal harp high school and college students.

Harp Oklahoma is open to pedal harp high school students ages 14–18 (grades 9th–12th). This year we have is a wonderful program, including master classes with our guest artist, Julie Smith Phillips, fun harp ensemble music, and lectures on a variety of subjects. The workshop ends with a student recital of solos and ensemble music. This four day workshop takes place at the beautiful University of O

klahoma campus under the direction of Gaye LeBlanc and Rachel Ellins Iozzia. The deadline for audition materials is May 24th. You won't want to miss out on this fantastic experience. We hope to see you there! For more information, please visit our website at

Harp festivities will include masterclasses, lectures, harp ensemble and fun social activities like movie night, painting class, and a laser tag, miniature golf, bowling outing! I'm excited to introduce our newest faculty for Harp Oklahoma Workshop this June 12 - 17, 2017 for pedal harpists ages 14 - 23. Shelly Du, the current principal harpist with Sarasota Orchestra, Florida, 2016 USA Competition participant and Cleveland Institute graduate. She is a fabulous harpist, humble and wonderfully kind soul, along with one of my first harp students. Shelly will be joined by Rachel Starr Ellins, Colorado harpist, extraordinary teacher, arranger, shop owner, and college buddy since UNT. Please join us for a memorable camp of harp ensemble, lectures, lessons, faculty recital, student competition and group activities of fun!
