D.A.P Learning Academy

D.A.P Learning Academy Preschool for 30 months to 5 years. Children do not need to be potty trained. D.A.P. The facility is open year round, excluding major holidays. The ratio is 1:10.

Learning Academy’s hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 7:45am- 11:00am Morning preschool includes breakfast and a snack daily.
-Full day daycare/preschool-is only offered in the summer months (June, July and August)- Monday thru Friday -7:45am - 3:00pm
D.A.P. Learning Academy is a preschool for children 30months (by September) through five years old. We will be closed:
-New Years Eve, New

Years Day
-Easter, the week (Mon-Friday) before Easter
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
-Third week (Mon-Friday) in August
- Labor Day
-Thanksgiving Day, the day before Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving
-Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the week of Christmas and the week (Mon-Friday) after Christmas


The preschool building has an abundance of natural light that makes this home-like atmosphere bright and very welcoming. The environment encourages exploring, is nurturing and safe. Our curriculum exposes children to experiences that will promote and enhance language skills, emotional and cognitive skills. As well as gross and fine motor skills. We encourage peer teaching opportunities, positive social and self help skills and provide multiple sensory experiences, throughout the day. Self guided play is always encouraged, in a print rich environment that promotes independence and exploration. Daily lessons include activities in:
- Music
- Language
- Science
- Math
- Creative art
-Dramatic play

These areas are taught with both teacher directed and child directed activities as well as using visual, auditory and tactile experiences. The group size in D.A.P Learning Academy’s preschool is twenty (20) children. The lead teacher has at least an Associate’s Degree in Child Development, has current CPR training, DHS Clearance and experience working with children. The assistant teachers have at least a years experience working with children, current CPR training, DHS Clearance and are present in the classroom, at all times.
