Ms. Kim and Ms. Creed teamed up on a special project to add these beautiful Kindness Rocks to our front lobby! 💗🌸🌻

A special shoutout to Ms. Terri’s husband for generously supplying the rocks for this project. Thank you for helping bring this idea to life! 🪨🩵🤍

The inspiring books “Kindness Rocks” and “Scribble Stones” served as wonderful inspiration, reminding us that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. We hope these colorful creations help spread kindness and brighten the day of everyone who visits Bush! 🤍🩵☀️

Bush Students Celebrate Their Kindness Goal!

Bush students recently celebrated an exciting achievement in Music & Mindfulness class: filling the "Kindness Work of Heart" board twice this school year! Together, students completed and recorded an impressive 671 acts of kindness, represented on the board by hearts, trees, and snowflakes.

To recognize their outstanding efforts, each class enjoyed an extra 10 minutes of recess during Music & Mindfulness class. Students also had fun chasing bubbles from Mrs. Schingeck's bubble blower, "Bubble Bear."

Congratulations, Bush students, on your amazing Kindness Work of Heart and for being true Kindness Kids. Your thoughtful actions help make our school a happier and more caring place.

Remember: It is nice to be kind! 🙂

Mrs. Klass’ class wrapped up their yearlong action project, Tiny Habits, Big Impact, by planting native pollinator plants around our school! As part of Mrs. Klass’ participation in the Dow Sustainability Teacher Fellowship, students spent the year learning about sustainability, pollinators, recycling, composting, and ways we can protect our local environment and the Saginaw Bay Watershed.

To help support pollinators, students planted spotted beebalm, butterfly w**d, red columbine, foxglove beardtongue, and whorled milkw**d. These native plants will provide important food and habitat for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators for years to come.

During Earth Week, our kindergarten students proudly shared the book they authored and illustrated, Tiny Habits, Big Impact, with every classroom in the building. Through their book, they taught fellow Bush students about simple actions we can all take to make a positive difference for our environment. After hearing their message, students throughout the school pledged to adopt at least one small habit that can make a big impact!

It has been an incredible year of learning, exploring, and taking action. We are so proud of our young environmental stewards and all they have done to help care for our school community and the Saginaw Bay Watershed. 🌎💚🐝🦋
