⛺✨ Come on in… imagination is open for business! ✨⛺
Today our before and after school children turned our space into a world of imagination! They created their own little tent home, pretended to be brothers and sisters, gave themselves different names, and built their own furniture including beds, couches, chairs, and steps. 🛋️🛏️🐶
There were puppy dogs to care for, superheroes to save the day, and endless stories being created together. Watching children engage in pretend play is so beautiful because they are building language skills, creativity, problem-solving, friendships, empathy, and confidence all while having fun.
Their imaginations were running wild today—and that’s where some of the sweetest learning happens. ❤️
✨ “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” — Luke 2:52 (KJV) ✨
We love creating opportunities for children to dream, imagine, create, and grow together one adventure at a time. 💙

🧱🌈 Building, Sharing & Exploring Through Play! 🌈🧱
Today was full of creativity and discovery as the children built with Legos and shared toys with friends! We talked about colors, sizes, and shapes while stacking, building, creating, and using our imaginations.
Our littlest learner added a little extra curiosity to the day and seemed determined to test whether each color block had a different taste 😂💛 (don’t worry… everything stayed safe and supervised!). It’s always fun watching little ones explore their world in their own unique ways!
These playful moments help develop fine motor skills, language, problem-solving, social skills, and early learning concepts while making memories together. ❤️
✨ “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 (KJV) ✨
Learning through play, sharing with friends, and growing one block at a time. 🧱💙

🏰🚙 Learning Through Play at DND Christian Daycare! 🚙🏰
Today our little builders had so much fun creating with our Duplo Legos! We built tall towers and amazing castles right on top of our jeeps. Along the way we explored colors, compared sizes, and had great conversations asking questions like: What’s on top? What’s on the bottom? Is our structure strong enough to drive with the castle on top?
These hands-on moments help children build early math, problem-solving, language, creativity, and critical thinking skills while working together and using their imagination. It’s amazing to watch their little minds think, plan, test, and rebuild! ❤️
✨ “The wise man built his house upon a rock.” — Matthew 7:24 (KJV) ✨
Today we talked about building strong foundations—not only with our towers and castles, but also in learning, kindness, and faith. 💙

Today the children had so much fun using their imaginations to create their very own little town! 🏡🚗🐴🚌 We built farms with animals, school bus areas, houses, and even a car garage. The children played so well together while having meaningful conversations about their homes, their families, farms, horses, cows, and the different ways we travel to places like daycare, school, and home. Some of them talked excitedly about wanting to ride a horse one day.
Activities like this help children build communication skills, social-emotional development, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and an understanding of the world around them. It is always amazing to hear the sweet conversations and ideas that come from little minds while they learn through play. ❤️

Today we had so much fun learning all about ourselves! 👀👂👃👄 We used our Teach My Baby Self learning set with flashcard mirrors, stacking boxes, and books to explore our eyes, ears, nose, lips, teeth, tongue, and hair. The children loved looking at themselves in the mirrors while pointing to different parts of their faces. We practiced things like sticking out our tongues, showing our teeth, finding our ears, and pointing to our noses.
The flashcards were wonderful because if a child wasn’t sure where something was, we could flip the card over to see a picture and learn together. We also worked on stacking and sorting the boxes from smallest to biggest while talking about the pictures on each side. Activities like these help children develop body awareness, vocabulary, problem-solving skills, fine motor skills, memory, observation skills, and self-confidence — all while having fun and learning through play. ❤️
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

While our older toddlers were busy coloring their airplanes, our younger toddlers were hard at work learning through play with shape sorters. 🔺🟦⚪ They practiced matching different shapes to the correct openings, talked about colors, counted the sides of each shape, and explored concepts like how a triangle has three sides, a square has four sides, and a circle has none.
These simple hands-on activities help children develop so many important skills — problem solving, critical thinking, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, patience, concentration, early math concepts, vocabulary, and confidence. Most importantly, they are learning in a fun, loving environment where curiosity is encouraged every single day. ❤️

Today was all about things up in the air! ✈️🚁 We played with airplanes and helicopters, read the book Who’s Up in the Air?, and then went outside where we were excited to spot real airplanes flying in the sky. We took the opportunity to talk about airplanes, helicopters, and the important community helpers who fly them and help keep people safe. The children loved learning while using their imaginations, and we finished our day by coloring beautiful pictures together. Moments like these make learning so meaningful and fun. ❤️

Today we read the sweetest little book, Who’s Up in the Air, Little Bear? by Osborne Baby Books. 📚🧸 The children absolutely loved looking at the pictures, listening to the story, and talking about all the things they saw up in the sky. After story time, we colored pictures together and enjoyed using our creativity and imagination. Moments like these help build a love for books, learning, and spending time together. ❤️
