🌸 Business Spotlight: Petals Learning Center 🌸
This week, Essex CDC is proud to highlight Petals Learning Center, founded by Mallorie and Sharita, two experienced early childhood professionals dedicated to helping children grow and succeed.
Founded in 2024, P.E.T.A.L.S. Learning Center builds on a legacy of quality care that has served families in the Baltimore area since 2010. More than just a childcare center, Petals provides a nurturing, home-away-from-home environment where young children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Their program combines structured learning with play-based experiences, helping children build confidence while developing important skills for the future. Families especially appreciate the center’s warm, family-centered atmosphere, thoughtful lesson planning, and strong focus on social-emotional development.
Petals Learning Center is also committed to supporting the next generation of educators. Through their P.E.T.A.L.S. Pre-Employment Training and Leadership Strategies program, they mentor youth and young adults interested in pursuing careers in early childhood education.
For Mallorie and Sharita, the most rewarding part of running their business is watching children blossom and knowing they are helping lay the foundation for a brighter future.
