Thank you to the American Academy of Dermatology for awarding Summit Street PTO a 2016 Shade Structure Program Grant.
We will receive an $8000 grant to build a pavilion on the Summit Street School playground!

The shade will provide much needed protection from the sun's harmful rays as well as a delightful gathering and play space for the Summit community. Thank you to the AAD and thank you also to Dr. Anita Licata, our sponsoring dermatologist from Four Seasons in Colchester.

The Spaghetti Dinner is tonight at Summit Street School! If you have been collecting Pennies for the Playground please bring them with you! We will be collecting them at the dinner - every penny helps!

The Summit Street Playground Committee is having a quilt raffle to raise funds for the Summit Street Community Natural Playground. Quilts can be viewed in the Kolvoord Room
at the Brownell Library through October 22nd. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

Winners will be announced late Fall. Opportunities to purchase tickets are:

• Spaghetti Dinner, October 23rd, Summit Street School, 5PM-7PM
• Fall Pumpkin Festival, October 24th, Essex Junction Recreation and Parks (75 Maple Street), 4:30PM-7PM
• Brownell Library, Kolvoord Room, through 10.22.15 -see folder in room for envelopes and tickets.
• Maplehurst Florist (adjacent to Brownell Library) during normal business hours.
• Summit Street School, 17 Summit Street, during normal school office hours.
