Barn Quilt Therapy won FIRST PLACE at the Champlain Valley Fair!

I’m incredibly proud to bring this blue ribbon home to Essex. What started as my love of creating barn quilts has grown into classes, custom designs and a whole community of wonderfully creative people.

Thank you to everyone who has attended a class, ordered a barn quilt, cheered me on or joined the barn quilt addiction. This one feels pretty darn special!

Okay, Barn Quilt Therapy friends… I need your help! 😂

If you’ve taken a class with me, you KNOW there are certain things I say approximately 4,732 times throughout the day.

I’m putting together a helpful little class card and thought it would be fun to include a section called:

“KIMBERLY 'ISMS…”

So tell me — what do you remember me saying over and over during class? 🤣

Don’t overthink it. Give me the phrase, warning, reminder, Kimberly-ism… whatever stuck in your head!

What a beautiful day at The Barn at Boyden Farm in Cambridge, VT! The barn, the mountain views, and the charm of the property made it the perfect setting for a day of Barn Quilt Therapy. Honestly, it was hard to imagine a more beautiful venue!

Lots of laughter, a slight amount of spilled paint, and so many gorgeous finished boards. Thank you to everyone who joined me, and to The Barn at Boyden Farm for sharing such a spectacular space with us! ❤️

This barn quilt was a DOOZY! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I started it two years ago, but after getting completely frustrated with all that taping, I set it aside…and there it sat.

I finally pulled it back out, dusted it off, and finished what I started—and oh my goodness, she’s a beauty! 💜

Am I glad I finished it? Absolutely.
Will I ever paint this pattern again? The jury is still out with Kimberly O'Brine Hess. 😂
