Congratulations to our 2026 envirothon teams for for their great performance at the Capital Region Envirothon competition yesterday at the NYS Power Authority visitors center in North Blenheim. Our team will advance to the NYS competion on May 27 - 28 at SUNY Cortland .

The United Way of the Greater Capital Region was selected as one of 25 national community hosts for Weave: The Social Fabric Project. As a community host they are leading a 4-year effort to find, support, and celebrate our everyday neighbors who are building trust and belonging in our communities. How are they doing that? By identifying and awarding Weavers whose efforts are local, relational, mutual, and inclusive. In their first year, they are looking to make between 20-25 awards of $2,500-$5,000 to individual weavers or organizations with budgets under $250,000.
Applications & Nominations open June 15th.
