Check out the wonderful Trash Parade window display down at Bear and Bird Boutique + Gallery New York on Jay St in Schenectady. They worked with us and TP participants to gather some of the amazing projects from this year’s parade.

Yesterday the Schoharie River Center Urban Ecology Interns had the opportunity to meet some of their representatives at Peebles Island State Park and hear about legislation to protect the Mohawk River Basin that has passed the state legislature and is waiting Governor Hochul’s signature. Please contact the governors office to make sure this important legislation is signed into law.

We would like to thank National Grid for their generous support! Through their funding, we will be able to expand the focus of our Environmental Study Team program to reach more students in Montgomery and Schoharie Counties, offer scholarships for our summer Ecology Field Schools, and strengthen programming at our center in Burtonville.
We will also be able to continue the renovations at our Cultural Hall, including installing a composting toilet, which will greatly increase the programming possibilities there.
