Aikido of Escondido

For those that are interested, friend of the dojo Angel Hayes will be having a blues jam again this Saturday April 18th from 2-5pm at the American Legion Post 149. The address is 230 E. Park Ave here in Escondido.

We had our annual 108 meditation practice. About 45 min of non stop throwing. Everyone did a great job.

Happy Thanksgiving! We got some training in last night before the holiday.

There will be an Friendship Seminar hosted by Pasadena Aikikai on December 7th. This is an all day event and will be an opportunity to train with other martial artists. All levels are welcome.

Where: Pasadena Cultural Center, 595 N. Lincoln Ave., Pasadena, CA 91103. After parking, proceed to the gate and
into the large building. The Japanese Cultural Center is directly located across the US Postal Service.
When: December 7, 2024: 10am – 4:30pm (lunch noon-1:30pm)
Cost: $60.00

Reminder that this Saturday December 16th we will be having our 108 meditation practice. We will be going out to lunch afterwards.

Very sad news today. Francis Takahashi sensei passed away. He will be missed. He began training in the 50's in Hawaii and had a huge influence on Aikido.

As some of you are aware, Rafael's sister was the victim of a horrible crime leaving behind her son who also suffered at the hands of the same criminal that took her life. Our hearts go out to Rafael and his whole family for their tragic loss.
