Team 3255 SPHS SuperNURDs We are FRC Team 3255, the SuperNURDs, a FIRST Robotics Competition Team at San Pasqual High School. The SuperNURDs are a part of a program known as FRC.

FRC is a varsity sport of the mind focusing on STEM education. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) , founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen, to inspire young peoples interest and participation in science and technology. The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) challenges high school students to design and build a robot to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors - a

ll in 6 weeks. We are FRC Team 3255 – Our team was were founded in the end of 2009 and we have built new robots ever since. In 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020 we were able to win an FRC Regional and attend the FRC World Championship! Learn more about the SuperNURDs and their robots at:

Week 5 offbot Recap! We have made great progress during week 5 of our offseason robot build. We have completed all CAD and most of the assembly for all mechanism aside from the intake. We also made great progress on the intakes CAD. This offseason robot has been our first time making a modern FRC turret, as well as a linear intake proving to be quite the learning experience.

Automatic frisbee launcher rapid testing! Demoing our team’s 2013 style frisbee launcher at the prototyping station of our first meeting. Each year we have a series of department rotations interested members rotate through to give an idea of what department to join.

Last Wednesday, we met with Team 11105 GC4 from Brazil to discuss their offseason plans and help them organize a mini FTC-style competition that they’re working to bring to their local robotics community! 🇧🇷

We also discussed our Ping-Pong Bot Curriculum, which we launched last year for our rookie students. Through the program, rookie students work together to design and build their own mini FRC-style robots before putting their creations to the test in mini competitions.

Now, we’re excited to work with GC4 to bring our Ping-Pong Bot Curriculum to Brazil! We’re sharing our resources, experience, and curriculum to help them establish the program and create opportunities for more Brazilian students to gain hands on experience with robotics, engineering, and teamwork.

We’re proud to support GC4 as they bring these opportunities to their community, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish! Best of luck to GC4 tomorrow!

Beta testing our rookie offseason curriculum robot. This fall, we will be producing 4 ping pong shooting robots with team of 3-4 rookie students to then compete in our own mini competition. We are super excited to see what is in store. These robots are made with retired electronics, many of which were generously donated by other robotics teams such as Monarch Robotics PATRIBOTS 4738

Running cycles on our brand new field! After many years in our workspace the SuperNURDs were able to create a new practice field at our workshop with the support from our FIRST California community and our high school! We are excited to launch this 2027 season!
