Hello, parents! Happy Friday! 🌟
Quick update about our day:
Today we focused on recognizing our letters. We played a fun game where I called out a letter and the children had to find it and bring it to me — they absolutely loved it! We also practiced our numbers using flashcards from 0–10.
At home, please continue practicing number recognition with your child. They all know how to count, but now we are working on recognizing numbers. When you’re walking or driving and see numbers, point them out or ask your child, “What number do you see?” This simple activity helps a lot!
The children enjoyed building with wood blocks, which is wonderful for developing fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, problem-solving, and creativity.
Because the weather was rainy and wet, we stayed indoors and had a cozy, playful learning day. All the kids had their lunch and are resting now.
Our story of the day:
We read “The Thankful Tree” — a sweet, gentle book that teaches gratitude, kindness, and noticing the good things around us. It was the perfect cozy read for a rainy Friday. 🍁💛
Have a wonderful weekend, parents!

Today we worked on a fun Turkey Pom-Pom Craft for our Thanksgiving theme! 🦃🍁
The children got to decorate their own turkey using felt feathers and soft pom-poms. This activity was not only adorable, but it also supported several important developmental skills:
✨ Fine-motor development – picking up and placing the pom-poms strengthens little fingers and improves pincer grasp.
✨ Hand-eye coordination – carefully placing each pom-pom on the turkey helps make their movements more precise.
✨ Color recognition – we talked about all the fall colors: red, orange, yellow, and brown.
✨ Creativity – every child designed their turkey in their own way!
✨ Sensory play – the textures of felt and pom-poms make this a rich tactile experience.
We had such a peaceful, focused morning outside, and the kids loved being little artists. Their turkeys turned out so cute! 🧡🦃

We’ve officially started our Thanksgiving fun this week! The children are learning all about turkeys, thankfulness, and kindness through stories, songs, and art.
During circle time, we practiced what the turkey says — “Gobble, gobble!” — and everyone had so much fun making silly turkey sounds together! 🦃
We also began learning our Thanksgiving song:
🎵 We eat turkey, we eat turkey, oh so good,
Always on Thanksgiving, always on Thanksgiving, yum yum yum! 🎶
And then we sing about all the delicious foods — we eat carrots, we eat cranberry, we eat pumpkin pie, we eat corn, mushrooms, and more! 🍂🥕🥧🌽🍄
Our story of the day was “How to Catch a Turkey” by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton — a funny and lighthearted book that made everyone giggle while learning about teamwork and gratitude. 📚✨
For our art project, the children created beautiful turkey plates using bright fall colors — red, yellow and orange. They used cotton balls with clothespins to stamp their feathers, and each turkey turned out unique and full of color! 🎨
This activity supported fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and color recognition, while also encouraging creativity and focus. Our story time helped build language development and listening comprehension, and our music and dancing to “Turkey Hokey Pokey” by Sing with Bella supported gross motor movement, rhythm, and body awareness. 💃🦃
We finished our morning with happy playtime outside on the playground — running, climbing, sharing, and working on social and physical development while enjoying the beautiful fall weather! ☀️🍁
It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, learning, and thankfulness at Country Club Child Care! 💛
🎉🥳 Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet girl Addie! 💕
We loved celebrating your special day with cupcakes, giggles, and so many smiles! You bring so much sunshine to our classroom every day 🌸🧁

Happy Monday, everyone! 🌞
We had such a wonderful start to our week!
Our morning began with Circle Time, where we sang our cheerful Days of the Week song:
🎶 “Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday!” 🎶
The children sang along so joyfully — what a fun way to begin the day!
We reviewed our letters and practiced identifying sounds together. Then, we read our story “Kindness Is My Superpower” and talked about what it means to be kind to our friends 💕
Next, we explored colors — each child came up and picked their favorite LEGO block, proudly showing their color to everyone! 🎨
We also worked on our vocabulary — children looked at word cards and described what they saw, practicing new words and clear speech. 🗣️✨
It was such a bright and positive Monday filled with learning, sharing, and laughter!
