I hope everyone celebrated a lovely Valentines Day! Our students have been hard at work making valentines themed pieces. We’ve been working this with a beautiful valentines floral arrangement as a vessel to practice still life painting with our students. Bravo to all their hard work and their teacher .kamm.

Jessica Kamman is an emerging artist based here in Escondido. She graduated with a BA in Visual Arts with honors from the University of California San Diego in 2022. Working primarily in oil paint, Jessica is currently exploring themes of intertwining nature with humanity, and the subsequent harmony (or lack thereof). The concepts of mirrors and symmetry in combination with her love of portraiture guides her work and influences her compositions. She recently illustrated a children’s book and also regularly does pet portrait commissions. Jessica was the winner of the 2019 Congressional Art Competition for California District 50 and has participated in multiple exhibitions at the Kamil Gallery at UCSD. She currently has work on display at the San Diego Music and Art Company, Distinction Gallery in Escondido, and here at the Escondido Music and Art Company.
