Our newest cosmetology students started class yesterday, and today they jumped right into the world of manicures and pedicures! 💅🦶

From learning the basics to practicing their techniques, they’re beginning to build the skills they’ll use throughout their cosmetology careers.

It’s just the beginning, and we can’t wait to watch this group learn, grow, and become the cosmetologists they’re working toward becoming! ✂️💚

❤️ PLEASE KEEP ONE OF OUR OWN IN YOUR THOUGHTS & PRAYERS ❤️

Our school family is asking for prayers and positive thoughts for one of our students, Sophia, and her family as they face an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

Sophia is currently in need of a heart transplant, and her family is navigating a journey no family ever expects to face. We know there are many unknowns ahead, but we also know the power of prayer, love, and a community coming together. 🙏❤️

The more people who know, the more people who can pray, encourage, and support Sophia and her family.

A benefit and fundraiser has been organized for Sophia on Saturday, October 3rd at 1:00 PM at the C & R Bar. The attached flyer has all of the details. For those who are unable to attend but would still like to help, donations can also be made through the family or event volunteers.

Whether you can donate, attend the benefit, share this post, or simply say a prayer for Sophia, every bit of support matters. ❤️

Please keep Sophia, her family, and her medical team in your thoughts and prayers as they face the road ahead.

What inspired you to become a nail technician?
I’ve always been a really creative person, and I’m definitely a people person too. I love getting to talk with people and make them feel good about themselves. I’ve also always loved the beauty industry. It’s been a big part of my life because I truly believe that when you look good, you feel good. There’s something healing about putting time and energy into your appearance. Becoming a nail tech just felt like the perfect fit.

What skill have you improved the most during your training?
My confidence. When I first started, I second-guessed myself a lot. Now I’ve learned to trust myself more, take my time, ask more questions, and remember that every set helps me become a better nail tech.

What are your goals after becoming licensed?
My goal is to build a loyal clientele, continue learning, and grow my own business into something I’m really proud of. I want my clients to leave not only loving their nails but feeling more confident than when they walked in.

What’s your go-to nail design or trend right now?
I’ve been loving 3D bangle nails with chrome accents.

Do you prefer simple sets or detailed nail art—and why?
As of right now simple sets. I think a clean set with a few well fit details is most appealing to my eye, but I have been practicing more detailed designs as well.

What’s the most fun set you’ve created so far?
Probably a colorful floral set using blooming gel. It let me be creative while trying something new, and I loved how it turned out.

How would you describe your nail style in 3 words?
Elegant, intentional, unique

What advice would you give to someone interested in nails?
Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s years of experience. Everyone starts somewhere, and the only way to improve is to keep practicing. Be patient with yourself and enjoy the process.

Coffee or energy drink while at school? ☕⚡
Energy drink, every time.

Favorite music to work to?
Country or just a good mix of anything that keeps the vibes up.
