Friendly reminder: our Parent In-Service is scheduled for this Thursday, August 6th, and Friday, August 7th. This is mandatory for all new families, but any family is welcome for a refresher. Friday, following the in-service, there will be a literacy kit training from 11:30 to 12 noon for anyone who ordered a literacy kit.

Hi Everyone! It is Grace O'Brien.

Using reusable items can sound or feel inconvenient, but many options will pay off and make life so much easier! We make jam in jars, and as we use the jam, we clean and reuse the jars as water glasses or storage. Mason jars not only support the environment, but are actually more convenient and intuitive in the long run.

Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Joel Johannsen after an incredible career serving Escalon Unified School District. Joel wrote the charter petition that founded Gateway Charter Academy in 2012 and faithfully served as the principal for the past seven years. However, his career in Escalon Unified started back in 2003 serving as principal to the outlying schools, then as the high school principal, and the district’s Assistant Superintendent! Thank you, Joel, for your leadership, dedication, and lasting impact on our community.

About last night…Gateway held its first ever spring formal for our 7th through 12 graders, and it was epic! We cannot wait to make this event a yearly event for our students at Gateway. A special thanks to Mr. Johannsen for his dedication to Gateway and allowing this event to take place, and to all the Gateway staff who put so much effort into this event. 🥰
