The rain didn't stop us!

A huge thank you to the Unicoi County Health Department for inviting us to be part of their Drive-Through Baby Shower!

We had such a wonderful time meeting so many new moms and soon-to-be moms in our community. What a great turnout!

We are grateful for opportunities like this to connect with families, share resources, and support our community. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the event such a success!

National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day ๐Ÿ’œ

Today, we remember the lives lost to fentanyl and stand together to raise awareness about the dangers of illicit fentanyl.

Fentanyl can be found in counterfeit pills and other illicit drugs, and a person may not know that fentanyl is present.

There are steps we can all take to help protect our families and our community:
๐Ÿ’œ Talk openly about the dangers of fentanyl.
๐Ÿ’œ Learn how to recognize an overdose.
๐Ÿ’œ Carry naloxone (Narcan) and know how to use it.
๐Ÿ’œ Safely secure and dispose of medications.
๐Ÿ’œ Share resources and supportโ€”not stigma.

Prevention starts with awareness. Education saves lives.

The Unicoi County Prevention Coalition is committed to helping keep our community informed, prepared, and safe.

Healthy babies. Safe home. Strong families. Prevention starts with us!

Stimulant misuse is a serious issue affecting individuals, families, and communities. Prescription stimulants, co***ne, and methamphetamine can all carry significant risks when misused - and the danger can increase when substances are combined or when counterfeit pills are involved.
Stimulant misuse can lead to addiction, heart problems, mental health effects, and potentially fatal overdose. When stimulants are unknowingly contaminated with substances such as fentanyl, the risk becomes even greater.
Talk with your family, friends, and especially our youth about substance misuse, counterfeit pills, and the importance of making informed decisions.
If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, you are not alone. Recovery is possible. Help is available.
The Unicoi County Prevention Coalition is committed to prevention, education, and connecting our community with resources.

Let's continue to show our community that there is HOPE, healing, and a future beyond substance abuse.
Your story matters. Your recovery matters. YOU matter.
