UT Extension - Unicoi County

10/08/2026

We are happy to welcome Randall Bosworth to our team and community as he embarks in his new role as the UT Extension - Unicoi County 4-H Agent. Read his bio below and feel free to reach out to welcome Randall to Unicoi County!

My name is Randall Bosworth and I am excited to jump into my new role as the Unicoi County 4-H Extension Agent. I was born and raised in Virginia, where I spent most of my childhood in the outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, and farming. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal and Poultry Science, with an emphasis in business and production practices of livestock. I then went on to graduate from The University of Tennessee in 2022, with a Master's Degree in Agriculture Leadership, Education, and Communications. I have held several positions involving agriculture in East Tennessee, and now live on a small farm in Greeneville, Tennessee with my wife, Emily, our four dogs, and assortment of livestock animals. I still spend most of my free time outside hiking with my wife, farming, and hunting. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences and beginning this new role!

Randall can be reached at [email protected] or call the office at 423-735-1637.

APPALACHIAN TRAIL WALK RESULTS ARE IN!

What a great 8 weeks it was for our teams to have some friendly competition while bettering their health. By the end of the 8 weeks, our top two teams finished within just 120 miles of each other!

Congratulations to our Trail Trollops who racked up 1,847 miles, and the Goose on the Loose gals who racked up 1731 miles!

Total miles combined for all teams was 4,554 miles. That equals to hiking the Appalachian Trail TWICE!

We’re so proud of all of our teams who put in so many miles this year!

Mark your calendars for the 2027 AT walk to kick off next August!
