Does your library offer ebooks and audiobooks with the .app ? Mine does and it is my favorite way to listen to audiobooks. The latest one I finished was Heidi Lucy Loses Her Mind by Gracie Ruth Mitchell ( ). This was the second book by this author for me and I loved them both! If you like cozy mysteries and closed door romcoms, this is the series for you.

Just another reason I love the Cincinnati library system!

One of the Delhi Township Branch's regular customers is turning 100 on October 8. Staff decided to honor her by signing a birthday card and making a sign. In coordinating a library visit with the customer's daughter, staff discovered that she has family visiting from Austria for her birthday. Her daughter brought her to the library under the premise of picking up a book on hold. When she visited, she was so touched that staff were there to wish her a happy birthday. The customer also told staff that she had immigrated to the United States in 1926, and that being at the library was one of the happiest days of her life.

The customer's daughter thanked staff for loving her mom so much, and also asked to keep the birthday sign to display at the family celebration of mother's 100th birthday.

Does your library have a lucky day type display? Kenton County’s is called Quick Picks. These were the titles that most caught my eye. Have you read any of them?

One almost came home with me but I have a big stack of books at home already so I exercised restraint and left it. Which one do you think it was?

Today’s library reads in our

Biscuit and Friends Visit the Community Garden and Ballet Bruce are for my student to read aloud and practice reading with emotions.

It’s a Sign and Monsters Love Cupcakes we’re two I read to model reading aloud with emotion.

Flower Talk was related to our science studies this year (botany). I thought the illustrations in that one were particularly lovely and I (mom) learned a lot!

“Confronted with allegations on social media that her debut fantasy novel, “Blood Heir,” was racist, she asked her publisher to cancel the book, four months before the publication date. There is bitter irony in the fact that Zhao is a Chinese immigrant who grew up in a country known for its censorship, and now finds herself being told in America that her debut novel is offensive. In China, the government shuts down art it deems offensive. Here in America, we use social media.”
