We were the coolest generation EVER! Some people are just now realizing it.
If you find this page "accidentally" from perusing Facebook, welcome! We are excited to be reconnecting. Make sure you let us know your full "original" name.
We would hate to skip another reunion and maybe there are classmates closer than you think!

As you may recall from the announcement of our new president in January, we also announced that our corporate name, formerly Erie Catholic Preparatory School, will now be Villa Maria Cathedral Preparatory Catholic School System. This change was made to honor the combined history of our two high schools and their foundations from the Sisters of St. Joseph and Bishop John Mark Gannon. This designation also recognizes that our organization includes a K-8 school with Mother Teresa Academy.
A new corporate crest was designed to represent this entity. The crest is divided into three parts. The blue and white waves represent the Villa Maria Academy school seal. The orange section includes the skeleton keys present on the Cathedral Prep and Mother Teresa Academy school seals, and the black portion incorporates the learning lamp from the Prep seal with the oak leaves from the Villa seal. The banner features a nod to our mission to develop all our students to ones of vision in sprit, mind, and body. Finally, a gold cross matching the outline of the cross from the Diocese of Erie shield sits on top of the crest.
Also in January, we announced that our coeducational high school will be named Cathedral Preparatory School as of the 2022-2023 school year. The faculty, staff and administrators of Cathedral Prep have already been hard at work this summer to incorporate the new school colors of orange, blue and black throughout the school building and the Hagerty Family Events Center. This has been done through the use of our new school seal and logo.
The new Cathedral Preparatory School seal incorporates elements of the previous Villa Maria Academy seal, most notably the oak leaves and the founding of the school (1892), as well as the blue color that has been added to the base of the torch. Additionally, the roses in the crest have been colored red with green stems to recognize both the roses outside Saint Peter Cathedral and those traditionally received by our female graduates at commencement.
The modernized “CP” logo showcases all three school colors and will be prominent on our athletic uniforms, apparel in the Spirit Store and throughout our facilities. We’ll be sure to let you know when apparel and gear with the new monogram will be available for purchase at the Spirit Store.
We would like to give a very special thank you to PAPA Advertising and their design team for their work on our new corporate and school seals. We would also like to give a very special thank you to the team at Route 1A Advertising for their design of our new athletic logos! Stay tuned for more!

Hi everyone! I'm sure most of you received an invitation for this year's VMA Commencement on Sunday, June 5th, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Class of '72. There's also other activities that weekend such as a tour of "the Villa", a cocktail reception, and a Patio Party. It seems like a good opportunity to see VMA once again and treasure the memories of a place that contributed to the women we all are today. Anyone else planning to attend?
Okay, yet another message and I don’t know that anyone else can see them so copying it here. Apparently Villa graduations are now held at the Warner theater? Is the school even still open? I thought it was open till the end of the school year?

I (Marge Dovichak Burkell) have NO idea why this won't post when I flipped to myself on my iPad but this had me seeing RED this morning! They have eradicated our school. I stopped sending them any donations and I want nothing further to do with the remnants of what used to be a wonderful Villa. Sad. Just sad.
