Our LAST DAY!! This morning, we spent some time together celebrating both students and teachers. We recognized those students in grades K-7th that were classroom aides, members of Student Council and altar servers. We had students who got Young Writer awards for their creative writing, students who showed growth in their NWEA Map testing and first and second honors for the fourth quarter.
We also awarded students the Arms of Christ award, the Hi-Hello award and the St. Luke Crusader award.
We also acknowledged a few of our teachers with awards voted on by their coworkers such as the Rising Star award, the Dependability award, the Above & Beyond award and so many others!
We presented Mrs. Wishnok with the Teacher of the Year award!!
Congratulations to everyone, students and staff for all they have accomplished this 25-26 school year!! We are so proud of everyone!!
Have a great summer everyone!!πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’› See less

Camp Notre Dame was where our 6th and 7th graders spent yesterday for one last day of bunding, fun and memories!! Their day started with praying the Devine Mercy Chaplet as a group and taking a few minutes to reflect on their year.
Archery, fishing, canoeing and even a few games of swampball was on their schedule for the remainder of the day! What a great way to end their school year!! 🫢🐟🍁πŸͺΊπŸš£β€β™€οΈπŸš£β€β™‚οΈπŸŽ―🫢

Our Second grade had their final field trip of the year at Presque Isle State Park! They actually started their prep for this field trip a few months ago when the Park Rangers stopped by their classroom for a visit. They had fun both in their classroom and on the beach with animal bones, foliage and lots and lots of sand!! πŸ¦†πŸ¦…πŸ¦‰πŸ’πŸπŸŒΏπŸ–οΈ

Graduation (post #4) had our 8th graders making that final checkmark on their list!! What do we say about this Class of 2026? There are so many things that come to mind such as your laughter in the halls, your always striving to be the best in any and everything, your smiles and your silly jokes. Never being afraid to try something new or to start a new SLS tradition, always looking out for and helping our younger students and sharing your talents with not only your friends but all the students and staff.
We will miss your smiling faces, your always asking "what can we do to help" and your pride you have shown in being a Crusader!
Remember Mrs. Kolash's last words of wisdom to you tonight...when accepting a dare or issuing a challenge do not be afraid to win (even if it is against your school principal and it involves a fire truck with lots of water πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)!!
SLS Class of 2026, go make your mark in the world and remember "Once a Crusader, Always a Crusader" πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’›

Graduation Night (post #2) for the Class of 2026!! We started with a prayer, some parting words of wisdom for Mrs. Kolash and Ms. Deutsch and a tribute to their parents.
Ms. Madelyn Hilling, a SLS grad Class of 2017 and our current third grade teacher gave a great address to the students and their families. Thank you, Ms. Hilling, for sharing your own memories as an SLS student and reminding our Crusaders to not the let world change who you are and who God created you to be. πŸ’šπŸ’›
