An exciting development for Economics majors at Penn State Behrend!

Scholarship extends Behrend faculty member's impact A $250,000 endowment created by Larry and Charlotte Neizmik will create scholarships for students in the economics program at Penn State Behrend. Larry Neizmik earned an MBA at Behrend and teaches in the economics program.

ERIE conference at Penn State Behrend focuses on local economic efforts Erie is suddenly flush with economic development efforts: Erie Refocused, Emerge 2040, the Erie Downtown Development Corp., and the Innovation Beehive Network, among others. This year's ERIE conference at Penn State Behrend looked at what's working, and where community planners still need to focus.

Natalie Szalajko won first prize for best presentation at the Penn State Behrend–Sigma Xi Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Accomplishment Conference last Saturday. Natalie’s presentation on “Crime Rates and Income in Erie, PA,” was one of eight presentations in the session on Computer Science, Economics, and Engineering.

Natalie, who is also the president of SUE, is a dedicated and outstanding ambassador for ERIE and the Black School of Business. Congratulations!
