Diehl Highlight: Kindergarten Ready!

A special welcome to all our incoming kindergarten students and families! For those that were able to attend our Kindergarten Readiness session yesterday, we hope you enjoyed seeing your classroom, meeting your teachers, hearing from our Principal, Mrs. DePaul, and getting a photo with "SOAR" the eagle.

We look forward to a successful year for all our Kindergarten Diehl Eagles!!

Diehl Highlight - National Night Out

It was a beautiful evening to connect with Diehl families and students. Many thanks to our partners at The JFK Center, community agencies, and volunteers for making it possible. These events bring neighbors together to help build stronger neighborhoods.

All: Our first parent engagement sessions about our new electronic device and standard school attire policies are tomorrow! We're excited about the overwhelming response, and very much looking forward to seeing you! The full schedule of engagement sessions follows, but first, here's what you need to know:

* Each engagement session site is at capacity. For this reason, we are asking only one member of the family to attend.
* Doors will open one half-hour before the start of each session. Each session will begin with a presentation on both policies and end with clothing distribution.
* Each session is expected to last about 90 minutes. Please plan to arrive before the start and stay until the end.
* While registration for the sessions is now closed, we understand the need for wraparound supports continues and we are committed to helping families with those supports. Look for information about any new sessions here on our page, on our website, or via Parent Square.

Full schedule of engagement sessions:
8/6, 12 p.m.: McKinley Elementary School
8/6, 5 p.m.: Booker T. Washington Center
8/7, 12 p.m.: JFK Center
8/7, 5 p.m., MLK Center
8/10, 5 p.m.: Edison Elementary School

The United Way and Diehl are co-hosting National Night Out with The JFK Center this year. We encourage both new and returning Diehl families to stop by the event.

Diehl Administration and Community School Director will be on hand if you want to say hello and we can try to answer any questions you may have for the upcoming school year.
