Discover another fascinating side of the Renaissance 🎨✨

Join us on Thursday, June 25, from 6-8 PM for Art History Evening at the Neighborhood Art House. Jamie Borowicz will continue his engaging lecture series with an exploration of Northern Renaissance art, highlighting the remarkable artists, innovations, and cultural influences that shaped this important period in history.

Art History Evenings are free to attend, although donations are encouraged.

Bold colors, playful patterns, and a cat with undeniable personality 💖🐱

This vibrant piece is bursting with creativity from head to tail. Every section tells a different visual story, combining color, line, and pattern into one wildly expressive piece. We love seeing students explore imagination so fearlessly!

Today, the Neighborhood Art House joins communities across the country in observing Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, celebrating freedom and resilience.

In observance of Juneteenth, the Neighborhood Art House will be closed today, June 19.

One of the highlights of Taste of the Arts each year is our Six in the City exhibit, a unique collaboration featuring original 6" x 6" works created by artists from Erie and beyond.

Whether you're a professional artist, an emerging creative, or someone who simply loves making art, we invite you to be part of this year's collection. Every canvas helps support the Neighborhood Art House and the youth we serve while celebrating the incredible creativity found throughout our community.

Canvases are due August 24, so now is the perfect time to claim yours and start creating!

Last semester, our nails class brought so much creativity, confidence, and color into the studio 💅✨

From intricate designs and bold colors to learning new techniques and supporting one another along the way, our students absolutely loved exploring nail art this spring. Watching their skills and creativity grow week after week was such a joy!

We already can’t wait to see what they create this summer 🌞🎨 Summer Week One begins June 22nd!

If you're a high school student who loves art, creativity, and working with youth, we'd love to have you volunteer at the Neighborhood Art House! Volunteering is a great opportunity to give back to the community while sharing your artistic talents and gaining valuable experience in a creative environment. 🎨🍪 What a wonderful Second Saturday at the Neighborhood Art House!

Participants enjoyed an afternoon of creativity during our Cookies & Canvases workshop, led by Kristina Dabrowski. From first brushstrokes to finished masterpieces, it was a joy to see artists of all ages expressing themselves through art.

A special thank you to the Erie County Office of Drug and Alcohol Abuse for sponsoring this month's Second Saturday and helping make creative community experiences like this possible. 💜

Looking ahead, we're excited for next month's Second Saturday: Tie Dye! 🌈 We’ll be extending the event from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM to give everyone plenty of time to create colorful, one-of-a-kind designs.

Our Summer Reading Program is one of the many ways community members can make a meaningful impact at the Neighborhood Art House. Giving your time can help a student build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and discover the joy of a good book.

This student-created owl cup is full of personality, texture, and charm. From sculpting the shape to adding all the tiny details, this piece shows just how creative functional art can be. We’d say this little owl is ready for its starring role on the shelf 💛
