2. Individuality of Calling: We are working to provide opportunities for students to explore their area of calling and to gain experience while still in a K-12 setting.

3. Balanced Education: Education should be a holistic experience, fully engaging the spirit, the soul (mind, will, and emotions) and the body. We stress growth in all three areas, emphasizing growth for the individual.

4. Holy Spirit guidance: Students are taught to value the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and discipleship is emphasized. Students are further taught to follow the voice of the Holy Spirit for themselves as they grow into who God made them to be. Each day begins with a time of Bible study/prayer where students and staff alike seek to connect with the Holy Spirit and seek His best for the day. The staff consists of gifted teachers who are given the freedom to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit in each classroom to allow God’s grace to empower the teaching/learning activities. As the students get into high school, they are taught to seek God’s will for their lives first, as they continue to seek His guidance in all things. Students continue to practice living the Word and hearing His voice to connect with God's best will for their lives in regards to their next step after graduation. What is a Comenius school? A Comenius school draws from the roots established by John Amos Comenius, who was a 17th century educational reformer. His ideas have been so influential that he is often referred to as the father of modern education. He believed that all true knowledge should point back to Jesus Christ, and that children are good, and deserving of a quality education. He also believed that education should emphasize useful skills, not just the acquisition of facts dragged together from various authors. Education should be a life-long creative experience, engaging both teacher and learner alike.
