Join us next week for this short film and discussion with Dr. Will Meyer.
ELIES was established in 2008 through a generous grant from Emily and John Costigan. Emily Costigan is a 1964 graduate of Mercyhurst College.
The institute is named in honor of her mother, Evelyn Jacobson Lincoln, who graduated from Mercyhurst in 1930. The Evelyn Lincoln Institute for Ethics & Society will serve the Mercyhurst University community, the city of Erie, and the surrounding Northwestern Pennsylvania region as a place where leaders and learners gather to engage in an exchange of ideas pertaining to ethical inquiry that moves toward a just and participatory society

The final vote for a City of Erie Tenant Bill of Rights is this Wednesday. These are rights that all ready exist in local, state, and federal law. The purpose of the document is to put them all in one place and make them available to renters in the City of Erie every time they rent a property. The only one on the original document that is not already a legal right is the "just cause for eviction." The city council will have it's final vote on Wednesday. Please go to the to show your support.
