Gannon University had the honor of hosting Steel City Codes Erie Chapter's Coding Camp from June 21st-25th in Zurn Science Center! Local 4th-8th graders learned the fundamentals of Java and Python from area high school volunteers.
Steel City Codes is a non-profit organization offering free peer-to-peer computer science after-school programs, summer camps, and hackathons for elementary and middle school students.
It was awesome having you on campus, Steel City Codes!

New Mobile App Security Course (CySec 212) being offered in the new "Cyber Defense" (Mac) lab in the IHACK building. This was taken by one of our new faculty members, Dr. Richard Matovu.

Gannon Student Efe Ilalokhoin, a software engineering junior, was awarded a €2,100 Baden-Wurtemburg scholarship. CIS Teams Win Innovation Awards!
On Friday, May 1st, CIS Project Teams placed first & third respectively in the college Innovation Challenge. Congratulations to Software Engineering seniors Jeremiah Brennin and Nelson Castillo for a job well done on the Visual Translator App!
The were awarded a cash prize and free time in the Erie Technology Incubator.
