[4/12/26] Gannon ECE / Collegiate Academy Balloon Launch --
In collaboration with Gannon ECE, high school seniors at NWPA Collegiate Academy have worked hard since Oct. 2025 on developing high-altitude balloon flight payloads. Having completed all the work well ahead of the intended completion time (mid-May), they launched their first balloon and payloads on Sunday to an altitude of 78,000 ft in near space! All payloads were recovered without any hassle as the payloads landed in tree branches just ~10 ft above the ground! Contratulations!

Congratulations, Zoey, on winning the first prize -- a 3D-printed octopus! This year's fun game was building a bridge that could endure the most strength, defined by the load weights the bridge held before collapsing divided by the weight of the bridge itself! Hey, let's do it again!
