Yesterday afternoon, our Medical Assistant students had the opportunity to participate in mock interviews with employers we invited to campus: Marie from Community Blood Bank and Sarah from UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care

The goal of these mock interviews is to give our students a chance to showcase their skills, professionalism, preparation, and personality while allowing employers to identify students they may want to bring on for an externship and, potentially, hire in the future.

And this group absolutely delivered! Both interviewers were blown away by the professionalism, confidence, and excellent preparation they saw from our students. You represented yourselves and the MA program exceptionally well!

Just know that your faculty and staff couldn't be more proud of the way you all showed up and SHINED!

Keep up the incredible work! You are making us proud and showing future employers exactly what you have to offer!

Yesterday, this impressive group of Diagnostic Medical Sonography students participated in mock interviews... and they left a lasting impression!

They interviewed with members of the Great Lakes Institute of Technology staff and demonstrated exactly why they will be such valuable assets to their future employers. They were confident, enthusiastic, professional, and said all the right things!

There is no doubt that these future sonographers will stand out as they enter the sonography profession. We couldn’t be more proud of the way they represented themselves and their future careers!

The sonography world is lucky to have them coming!

For the past six weeks, our Medical Assistant evening class has been preparing for mock interviews as part of their Career and Professional Development class. They worked hard as they prepared themselves for success in the healthcare field.

Then came the night to put it all into practice!

Our students had the opportunity to interview with Sarah from UPMC GoHealth Urgent Care, and they did not disappoint!

Way to go, Medical Assistant students! Your future is looking bright!

Our Diagnostic Medical Sonographer students at Great Lakes Institute of Technology are seeking pregnant women to gain hands-on experience and improve their proficiency in monitoring developing babies.

If you are pregnant and interested in helping these students learn, please consider volunteering or just spread the word to anyone who is. This will not only help the students, but also give expecting mothers additional opportunities to see their baby’s progress and get more pictures.

They will be in the Lab Monday through Thursday from 2 PM- 4:30 PM.
