Families who registered but did not attend the family engagement sessions and did not pick up your clothing order, please see this announcement from Erie's Public Schools :

Miss your parent engagement session? We've got you covered!

Parents/guardians who REGISTERED before July 24 to attend any one of our five recent parent engagement sessions: If you were not able to attend and did not pick up your bag of standard school attire for your child(ren), you have THREE more opportunities to do so:
*This Thursday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
*This Friday, Aug. 14 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
*Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

All pickups will take place at Strong Vincent Middle School, 1330 West Eighth St. Families should come to the back doors of the school off Weschler Avenue.

If you can't pick up clothing on one of these dates, please designate someone to do so on your behalf.

Please note: These pickup dates are for families who REGISTERED to attend one of the five engagement sessions, not families who filled out interest forms during the sessions. We know there may be more families who are interested/in need of standard school attire, and will announce any future distribution efforts/events through district communication channels, including ParentSquare. We continue to work with community partners to help provide the wraparound supports that our students and families need.

The weather was bad but the vibes were good! Thank you Do Good, Inc. for spreading good to the Erie community today and helping to set our students up for a successful school year! Our friends, families, and neighbors celebrated getting ready to return to school with food, activities, and 500 backpacks 🎒🎒🎒🎒🎒🎒filled with school supplies! Thank you to Erie's Public Schools central nursing staff and Lecom Health for facilitating an immunization clinic and of course to all of our teachers and support staff who helped out as well. We wish everyone a safe and happy school year! See you at Open House on Thursday, August 20 from 6-8pm!

Don't let the rain spoil your mood! Do Good, Inc. Will be inside! Use the doors on East 11th St. near the playground. We will still have food, backpacks, tattoos, and a make your own bag tag station!

Nothing can stop Do Good, Inc. from doing good! We are hoping for nice weather on Friday, but the event will go on RAIN OR SHINE ☔️🌞 Friday Aug 7 at Pfeiffer Burleigh from 11-2. Make plans to grab a bite to eat, get a free backpack, and have some fun!

Upcoming Events - Inner-City Neighborhood Art House The mission of the Benedictine Sisters of Erie Inner-City Neighborhood Art House is to enable children to experience beauty, grow in positive self-expression and self-discipline, and develop into full and productive human beings.

The weather is looking super for National Night Out! 🌞🌞🌞 Join us at the East Middle, a Community School event at Wayne Park from 5
-7pm tonight. The event is free and open to all families and neighbors ❤️ Hope to see some Panthers there! 🐾🐾

We have really been enjoying getting to know our incoming Kindergarten families at PB's Get Ready for Kindergarten workshops! Each week students and families explore the school, meet school staff, participate in an enrichment workshop with a community partner, share a snack, and receive a take home bag with learning resources, books, and school supplies. Our last 2 workshops are Tues Aug 4 with Asbury Woods and Tues Aug 21 the expERIEnce Children's Museum . If you would like to attend and have not signed up, please text our community school director, Ms. Courtney at 824-983-1524. Please share the info with any family in the PB neighborhood who has a child that will be coming to Kindergarten this fall. We want everyone to feel ready for the first day!

One week from today is the Do Good, Inc. Back to School give-a-way and celebration at Pfeiffer Burleigh! All are welcome to come and enjoy bounce houses,treats, and more! The celebration will be from11-2 with free clear backpacks and school supplies for school aged students who attend the event while supplies last.
*If your child needs immunizations to start school, stop in at the immunization clinic, sponsored by Erie's Public Schools and Lecom Health inside the school from 11-1. Hope to see you there!
