Congratulations to our student teacher mentor teacher, alumna Abby Martinez (BME), who’s the St. Vrain Valley School District’s recipient of the CU Boulder 2026 Best Should Teach Award! This recognition reflects the profound impact of her teaching, and the deep respect she's earned in her school community and in the field.

Martinez—a teacher, performer, clinician and conductor from Grand Junction, Colorado—directs the Erie Middle School Choir program comprising some 400 students in three mixed, non-auditioned grade-level choirs and four varied extracurricular choirs. She is also a two-time SVVSD Teacher of the Year, and was recognized as a 2025 GRAMMY Music Educator Quarterfinalist and a 2026 GRAMMY Legacy recipient. Happy Giving Tuesday everyone! If you haven't heard our EMS choir is one of the top middle school choirs in the state. Tiger Lily choir has been selected be performing for the Top Choir Educators in Colorado, which is the equivalent of winning a state championship for choirs. We also have several students making it into the All State Choir and managed to get a third of the spots. We are asking for your help in donations to ensure all these students are able to perform. Every little bit helps. Businesses can reach out to sponsor the choir program and will get a banner outside the school per the sponsor guidelines.

Update: EMS PTO will match every dollar donated up to $5,000! Every bit helps. Thank you so much for your support.

Hello EMS Families!

This year our area Hope and Gratitude Event has been moved to the autumn! As we approach our national's day of Thanksgiving, we can contemplate all there us to be grateful for.

We hope you will stop by this Friday between 5 PM and 8 PM and enjoy the beauty of this community event. The weather looks like it will be perfect!
