Cathedral Prep Athletics Roundup for Thursday, August 13:

• Boys golf kicked off their season by defending their title at the Happy Valley Invitational. Sonny Washburn finished as medalist shooting a six-under, 66. Joe Prichard placed fourth at two-under. Nik Blanchard shot even par to finish seventh. Anthony Kloecker shot an 82, while Andrew Sitter shot an 88. ⛳
• Girls golf also opened their season at the Happy Valley Invitational. The Ramblers placed fifth overall. Lillian Kilmer shot a 90 and finished 15th. Abigail Miller finished 22nd overall. Isabelle Shames placed 31st, while Claire Patsy placed 54th. ⛳

We are TWO WEEKS away from the first day of school! Our 2026-2027 Student Council officers met today and are already working hard to plan an exciting year ahead. We can’t wait to see what they have in store!

Our summer edition of Legacy is now available to view online!

At Cathedral Prep, CivicsPath connects classroom learning with real-world experiences in law, leadership, and public service. CivicsPath is one of the Academic Path Programs at Cathedral Prep designed to give students who have a strong interest in a specific career field access to higher impact learning experiences, mentorship from industry experts, and career shadowing. Beginning in the second semester of freshman year, students at Prep can apply for one of four path programs in the areas of business, civics, medical sciences, or STEM. We’re excited to share stories from our students who are in the program and alumni who share in those experiences and give our students real-world knowledge of these fields!

Congratulations to Cathedral Prep alumnus Dr. Walt Strosser ’67. He is set to be inducted into the Temple University Hall of Fame this October as a member of its Class of 2026! A member of the Cathedral Prep Athletic Hall of Fame and Erie Sports Hall of Fame, Walt is now set to be honored for his achievements in wrestling for the Owls. Congratulations! 🤼‍♂️

Congratulations to Villa Maria Academy alumna Ella Raimondi '22VMA on signing with Galway United F.C.! After starring for the Victors and the University of Dayton, she is headed to Ireland to play in the League of Ireland Women's Premier Division. Congratulations, Ella, we are proud of you! ⚽
