Welcome to the Meadowlark PK-8 PTSA community! Our goal is to enhance the educational experiences of the entire student body. We would love to hear from you.

We aim to build bridges between staff and families and raise funds to support connection and education within the community. At Meadowlark we inspire our students to pursue their passions and develop 21st century skills including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity to solve authentic, real-world problems and to make positive, meaningful contributions in our global commu

nity. As Meadowlark PTSA we will uphold and execute our school's vision. PTA's mission is Every Child, One Voice and that holds true at Meadowlark as well. Our children are 100% our future and every child has the potential to do great things. As advocates, we volunteer along side of our teachers to make every child's potential become a reality. It is not about bake sales, it is about our engagement in learning. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas for Meadowlark or advocacy send us an email or attend our meetings. Everyone is welcome at our general meetings. Typically four meetings per school year. We would encourage you to attend our meetings to learn & listen. Find out if we are the right fit for you.

📚✨ BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT is tomorrow! ✨📚

Come connect, learn, and get a little more plugged into life at Meadowlark! 🖤💛

⏰ 5:00–7:00 PM

Start the evening with classroom sessions + our Involvement Fair from 5:00–5:45 PM. Meet your student’s teachers, hear what’s ahead this year, and discover all the ways to connect with our Maverick community.

You have a 15 minute passing period to make it to the large gym!

Then, stick around for something just for the grown-ups! 💛 From 6:00–7:00 PM, Nick Thompson, LCSW will join us for an optional parent/guardian learning event focused on communication, resilience, and supporting our kids’ overall well-being.

A few quick notes:
👧 Limited childcare is available for K–4 students
🍕 No pizza sales this year, so grab dinner before or after!
💛 And definitely stop by the Involvement Fair to say hi to your Meadowlark PTSA, athletics table, see our GT coordinator and more!

The Meadowlark staff understood the assignment. 👏👏🎸

Our paras were impossible to catch because they are always on the run, and our amazing custodians were busy doing what they do best: keeping our whole school rocking behind the scenes. Consider this their honorary stomp, stomp, clap! 🖤💛

POV: The admin team realizing the “blank page” is about to be filled with approximately 847 questions, 312 lost water bottles, a LOT of hallway high-fives, and one very big year. 😂🐴

And they are HERE. FOR. IT.

The building is ready.
The teachers are ready.
The admin team is clearly ready. 😂

Now we just need our Mavericks. 💛 Can’t wait to see our k-8 Wednesday and 7/8 on Thursday!

Today, Meadowlark students had the honor of cheering on past Meadowlark graduates during the wonderful BVSD Graduate Walk tradition as they prepare to embark on their next great adventures.

💛🖤

There was something incredibly special about watching former Mavericks walk our halls again, greeted with cheers, smiles, high fives, and so much pride from the students following in their footsteps. We are so proud of each and every one of them!

Moments like this remind us how meaningful it is to grow together as a PK-8 community.

As we prepare to celebrate our own Meadowlark Class of 2026 at next week’s continuation ceremony, today felt like a beautiful glimpse into the future for so many of our current students.

Once a Maverick, always a Maverick.

Mother Nature said, “Talk to the hand.” ❄️📼

BVSD teachers & staff (and students) officially earned a SNOW DAY during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week and honestly… that’s pretty fly. 💜

Kids, this is your sign to celebrate the old school way:
❄️ sleep in
❄️ watch cartoons in pajamas
❄️ build a snow fort
❄️ drink hot chocolate from a mismatched mug
❄️ play outside until your gloves are soaked

Basically… have the kind of snow day we all had in the 90’s. ☃️💿

Thanks to every incredible teacher and staff member for everything you do for our students every single day. You’re all that and a bag of chips.

We, Like, Totally Love Our Teachers & Staff 💿📼

Monday officially starts Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week (May 4–8) and Meadowlark is bringing all the 90’s love.

Our staff shows up for kids in every corner of the school, every single day, and this week is all about celebrating them. From our classroom and specials teachers to our principals to our paras to our librarian to our counselors to our SPED team to kitchen heroes to our entire front office to our custodians to anyone I might have missed!

Our building is decked out 90’s style. PTSA is treating teachers and staff EVERY day with lounge surprises including ice cream from the amazing fellow educators at Cowabunga, a rad raffle full of amazing local prizes, and a relaxed Community Supper Club night.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped set up and clean up the campus this weekend. You helped kick this week off right.
