DEPARTMENT SPOTLIGHT

This week, we are thrilled to turn the spotlight on the incredible Materials and Operating Room (OR) Department at Allegheny Health Network (AHN), and recognize two outstanding mentors who are making a massive difference in the Project SEARCH program: Rich and Sully!

The Materials/OR Department keeps the hospital running smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring our medical teams have exactly what they need to provide top-notch patient care. It’s a fast-paced, vital environment, and our Project SEARCH interns will learn the ropes from the absolute best!

A huge thank you to Rich and Sully for your dedication, patience, and leadership. As mentors, you aren't just teaching professional skills—you are building confidence, shaping futures, and fostering a truly inclusive workplace

Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and restful Labor Day Weekend from the AHN Project SEARCH interns!

As we celebrate this holiday, our hearts and thoughts are especially with the Erie City residents who were affected by the recent storms. We are incredibly inspired by the strength and resilience of our community.

A huge thank you to our heroic First Responders, the Erie Police Department, Erie City Streets Department, and Erie neighbors stepping up and working tirelessly to clear debris and keep our neighborhoods safe. We appreciate everything you do!

CPR Day!

Today was CPR Day at AHN Project SEARCH! We are so proud to announce that 100% of our interns successfully passed their training and tests today. They are now officially CPR certified! 

Safety is a top priority at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital, and our interns are now equipped with life-saving skills as they prepare for their career journey.

We are bursting with pride as our program officially steps into its 7th year with our fearless instructor, Bria leading the way!

Swipe through to see some of our favorite moments with Bria, who just led our program to a massive milestone: winning the prestigious 100% Outcome Award! Leveling up to a 100% employment rate for our last intern cohort takes immense dedication, and Bria brings that energy every single day. The momentum doesn't stop there, though. We are absolutely thrilled to welcome our brand-new class of interns for this milestone year! The excitement in the classroom is already through the roof, and we can’t wait to watch this new group crush their career goals under our amazing team that is completed by Julie and Kym!

Summer Intensive: Prepping for Success!

While most students were enjoying the last bit of summer, our AHN Project SEARCH interns were hard at work!

Interns spent two weeks on-site at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital to master hopsital navigation, obtaining their required clearances, and team building activities before the beginning of the school year. This head start is what makes our interns so successful in their transition to competitive employment.
