Congratulations to our newest 5th Grade Ambassadors! These 5th grade students underwent an application process and were selected to be leaders of our school. Throughout the year these students will learn from various community leaders, develop their leadership skills, engage in service projects, and help with family events at Lincoln.

We can't wait to see all they accomplish!

You can make a difference.

This September, during Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, Erie's Public Schools is reminding our whole community: a mental health crisis deserves the same response as any other emergency. You don't need to be a therapist — you just need to notice, reach out, and get help.

A.C.T. if you're worried about someone:

Ask — Start the conversation. Be direct, and listen without judgment.
Care — Show you care. Stay close and keep them connected.
Tell — Bring in a trusted adult or trained professional.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is always available: 📞 Call or text 988 — free, confidential, 24/7 📱 Safe2Say Something: 1-844-SAF2SAY ☎️ Erie Crisis Line: 814-456-2014 🏫 Talk to a school counselor, mental health specialist, or any trusted staff member

In immediate danger? Call 911.

Every student, every day. We're in this together. ***dePreventionMonth

Lincoln Lions Love to Read!

This year is the Year of Reading at Lincoln Elementary. We will be incorporating reading into all that we do this year. We're starting the year off with our Grandparent Breakfast and Bookfair this week.

By parent request, we will also be adding a family component to our monthly Books with Bankers events. On the second Friday of each month, our Corporate Partner Volunteers from PNC, Erie Federal Credit Union, Marquette Savings Bank, Northwest Bank, and ERIEBANK, will join classrooms to read a story. Families are invited to join us beginning at 8am for a short information session on the power of reading with your child and some strategies for supporting your child's literacy skills. Then families will join their students to hear the story, and will have the chance to choose a free book to take home to read with their child.

Each class also has the goal of reading 100 books or chapters by the 100th day of school. We'll have a school-wide celebration on the 200th day to celebrate. Be sure to ask your child what their class has been reading!
