A friendly but critical reminder to ALL foreign students studying in the US: I personally saw the effect of the first Trump administration on international students studying in the US. Our enrollment figures took a nosedive. Even students with legitimate study visas (F, J or M - most are on J visas) were denied entry upon attempting to return to the US. BEWARE and return to your schools before the inauguration of Pinocchio (i.e. January 20th). You have been warned!

Hello all. This is Dr. Singh. I started this page several years ago to help Indian students, mostly graduate students. I have not been associated with Gannon University since May 2020. Since I have administrative rights but cannot provide any help, I am willing to turn over administrative rights to someone at Gannon who is a responsible person and is willing to help his/her fellow students. However, first I would like to know if there is an active Indian Student Association at Gannon which means that there is a faculty advisor to said Association. Please let me know who this advisor is if there actually is a functioning Indian Student Association at GU. Thanks.

Navrathri is around the corner and I wanted to personally invite every single one of you to the event on the 13th of October at the recreation center between 5:00PM to 9:00PM. There will be pooja performed and dinner served. The Erie Indian association will also be present during the event, So this would be a great opportunity to get to know about all the Indians who live here and share a warm evening. Please attend the International Night at Gannon University on April 7th at the Hammermill Center. This is without a doubt one of the highlights of the year. COME ONE, COME ALL! Participate culturally (set up a table with dishes from your country or perform a culturally suitable song, dance etc.). Additionally, and this is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, please support the efforts of the Global Student Support Office by BUYING the $9 tickets in order to attend. Please do not try to sneak in if you are not serving food or are a volunteer. This event requires money to be successful and your contribution is NEEDED. Thanks.
