Now imagine having hundreds of local employers willing to open their doors to help you explore it.
That's what Career Street makes possible.
Because employers, educators, and community partners work together, students have participated in more than 60,000 career exploration experiences throughout Erie County.
When people work together, amazing things happen.

Employer tours can be extremely helpful in career exploration because they allow students to connect what they learn in school with real workplaces and real careers. Rather than simply hearing about a job, students can see it in action, ask questions, and experience a professional environment firsthand.
During the 2025-26 academic school year, Career Street facilitated 58 employer tours, to include 21 employers and 361 local students!
60,000 Career Exploration Experiences. Countless Student Stories. One Community Investment.

Happy to share this fantastic new resource!
Today, we were excited to officially release the Erie Together Profile of a Graduate Workbook to the community during our Erie Together Action Team meeting!
For the past several years, Erie Together's Profile of a Graduate has provided a shared vision of the knowledge, skills, and mindsets every young person in Erie County needs to succeed in career, college, and life. Today, we're excited to build on that work by providing a practical new resource that helps educators, youth-serving organizations, parents, caregivers, and others intentionally help young people develop those skills.
Designed primarily for use with high school students, this free workbook includes hands-on activities, assessments, facilitator instructions, student worksheets, answer keys, and suggestions for continued learning. It can be used in classrooms, after-school programs, youth organizations, workforce development programs, and at home.
Helping students prepare for successful futures isn't the responsibility of schools alone. It takes all of us working together.
We hope you'll download the workbook, put it to use, and share it with others who work with young people.
You can access both the Erie Together Profile of a Graduate and the new workbook at www.erietogether.org/grad.

Behind every Career Street experience is an employer who believes in the next generation.
We're incredibly grateful to the businesses and organizations that open their doors, share their expertise, and help students discover what's possible. Your time and commitment are making a lasting impact on thousands of young people across Erie County.
Today, we're highlighting a couple of our employer partners who shared what being part of Career Street has meant to them. Thank you to them—and to every employer helping inspire tomorrow's workforce!

Job shadowing gives students the opportunity to move beyond learning about a career and actually experience it. By spending time with professionals, students gain insight into workplace expectations, explore career possibilities, and make more informed decisions about their future.
