How about a beautiful, sunny 90* day in May cued up for a tour of the Erie International Airport and Fundamentals Flight Training? That's what these General McLane SD 7th graders were treated to today! We were happy to make the connections for them to learn about the various careers, as well as a little sampling of what it's like to be a pilot!

This was a great experience! So proud of General McLane SD’s Senior, Chloe, for the work & effort put forth! Thank you GECAC Greater Erie Community Action Committee for the opportunity!
We are grateful for the opportunity to host Chloe at GECAC’s Northwestern Senior Center for her work-based learning experience through the Multi-District Industry Club (MDIC).
MDIC is an Erie Together - Learn, Work, Thrive and Career Street initiative that connects senior high school students with local employers to expose them to different industries and occupations, as well as real-time job opportunities. This educational experience provides valuable exposure to career pathways and learning opportunities outside the traditional classroom.
We appreciate the collaboration that makes opportunities like this possible and are thankful to our partners for trusting us to be part of this important work. It was also wonderful to attend the certificate celebration and recognize Chloe’s accomplishment.
We look forward to continuing to work together to create meaningful opportunities in our community.
