Back in June, 5th graders from Asbury hosted their 4th Annual Caring Car Wash! This fun service-learning project benefits The Caring Place, a local center for grieving children and families. Thanks to our community, students were able to work together to raise $550 in support of this great cause -- Way to go, ASB🚗💦

Mrs. Wentz & Mrs. Richards 7th grade students at J.S. Wilson showed off their skills in a creative way for this fun math project! They worked during PSSA week to create ordered pairs from a coordinate grid image, applying scale factor to enlarge the image accurately. Students from each pod then voted based on accuracy, creativity, and uniqueness to determine the top 3 winners. What a cool project -- Way to go, JSW👏✏️

Back in June, our 8th grade students from Walnut Creek gathered for the Annual Outsiders Rumble! After reading "The Outsiders" and watching the film, students went toe to toe dressed as Greasers or Socs for field games, activities and more. Highlights included a relay race to answer questions about the novel and a dodgeball rumble! Soc's claimed the victory and awards were given for the most spirited and best-dressed participants. What a fun way to end the year strong while celebrating literature and teamwork -- Stay gold, WC💛🤾

Belle Valley Elementary didn't let the rain stop their celebration on Fun and Fitness Day! Students and staff participated in field games, indoor dodgeball, Gaga Ball, relays, and more -- Closing the books on another great school year🤾🎉

Before the break, our students had a blast making their best guesses about which staff member was the mysterious Masked Singer at J.S. Wilson! Leading up to the final PBIS event of the year, students earned Trojan Tickets for positive behavior, which gave them a special chance to help judge the event. Five JSW staff members sang their hearts out in disguise, leaving a panel of student judges with only a few clues to figure out who was behind the mask. Congrats to the sharp detectives who guessed correctly—they scored some fun gift cards🎤🤩

Back in the spring, McDowell hosted their Special Education Spring Fling event, bringing students from around the region together at the HUB for some social time and fun activities! We love to see these students enjoying the experience and mixing it up with some new friends 🎤📸
