I am trying to find drone pilots to join our national network of volunteers, and found your school online. We are a non-profit organization that flies drones for hospice patients. We get amazing shots of a favorite place (vacation spot, park, lake, etc) and make a short 5 min video for them to watch and share with family. It is an incredible program that is bringing peace and happiness to families during that difficult time.

Would you know any pilots that have been through your program that would be interested in helping us? Specifically, we currently have a request for a cabin in Findley Lake, NY- do any of your alumni live near there or would be willing to drive?

Flight To Remember The Flight To Remember Foundation provides a life enriching service to patients at end of life. Leveraging drone technology we are able to allow them to virtually revisit the most meaningful places of their lives.

We are having another Part 107 Certification Test Prep Class on 07/28/2018 from 8 AM to 5 PM. The cost has been reduced from $350 to $250. North Coast UAS is very happy to announce that the first two participants in our Part 107 Drone Certification Test Prep Class scored above 90%. MC took the test on Sunday and earned an 95%. AL completed the test this evening and achieved a 97%. What a great accomplishment for both of you! We are looking forward to our next 90%er....

Part 107 Class Pricing Explanation

The pricing for the Part 107 Class seems to be a little confusing.
To clarify, it does not matter when you register, EVERYONE pays the lowest price. Sending your registration in early guarantees a spot in the class. Seating is limited so it is best to get your registration in as early as possible. Price will be based on the number of people that are registered by 5 PM (Eastern Time) on May 31st.

If you pay by credit card, it will be run after 5PM the day before the class for the lowest price. If you pay by cash or check, you will receive a refund for the difference between what you paid for the class and what it actually cost on the day of the class.

There is no benefit in waiting to register. If the class is full when you send in your registration, you will have to wait for the next class and we may not be running this promotion.

North Coast UAS has been invited to participate in INTERNATIONAL DRONE DAY on May 5, 2018 at the new Gannon University Rec Center. We will be bringing our tent for flying and providing demos of some of our products. Also offered is a 5.00" drone racing course and other local drone businesses. Stop by and see us!

North Coast UAS is offering another date for the Part 107 Certification Test Prep Class on /Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 8 AM to 5 PM . This time we are going to do something different. The cost of the class will be $300 at most. The more people that sign up for the class, the lower the cost will go...

The next Part 107 Certification Test Preparation Class is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 8 AM to 5PM at North Coast UAS. We are offering a special price for this class, normally $350, now $300. After completing the class, free practice tests are available for students to review before taking the official exam. Our last cookout was a success. It was well attended in spite of the wind. All appeared to have fun.

We have scheduled a Part 107 Certification class for September 16, 2017 from 8 AM to 5 PM.

We will be posting some questions regarding the exam, or similar to those on the exam. Answer the questions without researching it. We will give you the answer to the former question when we post the next one. Keep track of your score and let us know how well you do.

Summer has flown by....

We have had a lot of fun and excitement this summer. From our Open House and Movie Night to the B-17 weekend to now... the final cookout of the summer. Friday night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill along with other food for all of our students, customers, friends and airport "family". Stop by and grab something to eat and enjoy the view of the airport and great company. See you Friday.

Several announcements

1. Remember, we are having a Beginner Class this Saturday, July 8th from 1 PM to 5 PM. This is a great introduction to the world of quad piloting. Space is still available for anyone who is interested. Please call Carolyn at North Coast UAS, 814-923-8801.

2. We will be doing another UAS (Drone) Demo tomorrow at the Porecco College starting g at 7 PM. This is an "Opening Act" for the movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, presented by the Porecco College of Edinboro University. Our MAVIC and PHANTOM 4 PRO will be taking to the skies before the movie, but North Coast UAS will also have it' "flying room" available so you can try your hand as an UAS pilot. Stop by and fly a quadcopter.

3. North Coast UAS and North Coast Flight School will be hosting a B-17, Madras Maiden, on July 29th And 30th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. More information to follow.
