Earlier this week, some of our graduates organized a “clap out” for Brandon Blackmer. Here is what our Chief Executive Officer, Sean Kuhn, had to say:
“Many of you know that Brandon was involved in the beginning of TONI&GUY back in the day, so literally, TONI&GUY Erie is Brandon…and Brandon is TONI&GUY.
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy. Nothing worthwhile is easy. Your ability to overcome unfavorable situations will provide you with time to demonstrate your true strength and determination for success. Always set your standards high; your greatest achievements lie within the infinite feat to achieve in your life.” -Martin Luther King Jr.
Brandon, you have taken this organization to its highest heights. You got it going in the beginning, you kept it going in times of struggle, and even during the most difficult year that it’s been in the shutting down of this institution, you’ve demonstrated great leadership and fortitude in difficult times. I’m telling you, if everybody had a chance to be here, there would be thousands of people here with the lives that you’ve touched over the years since you started this process. Our gratitude is undying for what you have done here, and we are so proud to call you a friend, a mentor, a colleague, and ultimately just a great human.”
Behind you, all your memories…
Before you, all your dreams…
Around you, all who love you…
Within you, all you need.
