Not to be biased, but we’re pretty sure we have the BEST Community School Director in the whole universe! 🌎💙⭐

Please help us show some love to our amazing Community School Director, Julia Boyd!

Mr. Scandinaro's Family and Consumer Science classes are demonstrating their ability to stay clean and safe in the kitchen! Students learned about Cyclospora (the food-borne illness that plagued iceberg lettuce this summer). Students also practiced basic knife skills by cutting fresh local apples and blending them into delicious smoothies.

Today marked the first of many exciting field trips for our 7th graders as they begin exploring different career opportunities in our community!

Students visited the Bayfront Maritime Center and Donjon Shipbuilding, where they learned about a variety of careers, including welding, ship fitting, fabrication, electrical work, and mechanical work. It was a great opportunity for students to see these careers firsthand and learn about the skills and education needed to pursue them.

Thank you to Ms. Peck and Career Street for making this trip possible!
