That isn't a tagline — it's the actual belief this center was built on. A child who couldn't zip a coat in September is zipping it in November. A child who wouldn't speak up in circle time is raising a hand by spring.

Your 3-year-old does not need to read before Pre-K. What they need is to talk, play, ask questions, and feel safe trying new things.

The letters come. They always do. Let the rest come first.

Give them words for big feelings.

"You're frustrated." "That made you sad." "You're excited!"

A child who can say "I'm mad" is far less likely to hit, and far easier to comfort. Naming the feeling is the first step to managing it — and it's a skill we keep building in the classroom.

Sharing, taking turns, and joining a group are learned skills — and they're much easier to learn in a park or a playdate than in a room of 15 new faces.
