What is the most important thing you can teach your toddler to prepare them for reading?

Phonemic awareness: How to manipulate sounds.

It's as simple as grabbing scrabble tiles or a bag of Bananagrams.

Early phonics and phonemic awareness is essential to a child's success in reading.

Teaching these skills are a simple as grabbing the game BananaGrams or scrabble tiles and playing with your toddler.

What is an educational therapist?🤔

📌 a professional who works in the educational domain with
children, adolescents, and adults who have been diagnosed with or exhibit learning
disabilities and/or learning differences.

Is skilled in:
📌 administering and/or interpreting formal and informal educational assessments;
📌synthesizing information from parents, teachers, and allied professionals;
📌 developing
and implementing appropriate interventions to remediate school or work related learning
and/or behavior problems;
📌teaching strategies for resolving social and emotional
aspects of learning issues;

Third grade is when all of the reading strategies used by children with dyslexia — reading by shape, guessing by looking at the picture or the first two letters, and using context clues — will no longer work. We call this the "Brick Wall".
