Domestic Violence Awareness

Domestic Violence Awareness is a place to share, vent, ask questions, encourage each other and know that we deserve the best for ourselves and our families. Healing from the abuse
(1)

Healing from the abuse is a lifelong process and the system and groups leave us with tools that we tend to put down. Here you will hopefully find the strength and hope to keep your courage to LIVE and not Survive.

IF ALL YOU DID WAS SURVIVE, THAT, ALONE, IS AMAZING... You did what you needed to do to survive, and that's OK. Heck, it's more than OK. You're not just a survivor...you're a warrior. That's awesome.
In the end, strength is what we gain from the craziness we survived. They hurt you. Abused you. Broke your heart. Made you cry. Confused you because you couldn't believe someone could be so heartless. They lied and manipulated you. Used power and control over you.
But, somehow, you survived all of it. Now, they may try to reel you back into their life. Never give them a chance to do it again. They're still lying to you.

Healing

Healing is hard, but worth the fight. The calm that comes with a more regulated nervous system, and less hyper vigilance is a breath of fresh air. You fought through the battles, fight through your storms. You deserve the opportunity to live, to thrive not just survive.

Sadly there was a time I did become someone that not only I feared but a lot that of people feared .
It was only with a lot of hard work and therapy that I began to change and become someone that my children are proud of and that I am proud of 💯
