A milestone birthday like this deserves a spot on the feed! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating our Head of School, Mr. Yoder, as he turns 70! We’re so thankful for his leadership, dedication, and the many ways he has blessed the HMS community over the years.

On the second day of school, our 6th–8th grade students headed to Woodcrest Retreat for our annual Middle School Orientation Day!

Students spent the day getting to know one another through mentor groups, teambuilding activities, and active games, while enjoying time together in nature. They also had the opportunity to connect with their teachers, learn about middle school expectations, and get their questions answered.

We’re excited to see our middle school students start the year with confidence, connection, and community! 👏🏻

Hinkletown Mennonite School is seeking a Part-Time Custodian to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students and staff.

✨ 25 hours per week
📅 Monday–Friday
🕐 5-hour shift at the end of the school day

📣 We’re Hiring: Head of School

Hinkletown Mennonite School is prayerfully seeking a Christ-centered, visionary leader with an Anabaptist perspective to serve as our next Head of School, beginning with the 2027–28 school year.

This individual will provide spiritual, educational, and organizational leadership while partnering with our faculty, families, and Board to continue advancing the mission of HMS—equipping students to know Christ and serve His Kingdom.

That means it’s almost time for one of our favorite traditions—the HMS Back-to-School Ice Cream Social!🍦

Join us on Thursday, August 20, from 6:30–7:30 PM as we kick off a new school year together. Reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and enjoy some delicious ice cream as we celebrate the start of another exciting year at Hinkletown Mennonite School.

What’s Hank the Hawk been up to this summer?

Hank recently spread his wings and headed to Hersheypark’s Mascot Day! 🍫🎢

It was a day full of fun as he made new mascot friends, reconnected with familiar faces, and represented the Hinkletown Hawks with plenty of school spirit.

Hank’s squeezing in all the fun summer adventures before another exciting school year begins! We’ll see you in August—he can’t wait to welcome everyone back! 🎉
