So saddened to hear the shocking news that today (8/10) Chef Nicholas Lodge who was a leader in the cake industry nationally and internationally, passed away suddenly today from a brain aneurysm. Not only was he a fantastic teacher and very meticulous with his crafts, he was also gracious, kind and generous with his wealth of knowledge. My condolences to his families and friends.. Rest in peace Chef Nicholas Lodge 💚💚

Edible gum paste flowers are awesome keepsakes. I use jellybeans on which to build my rose petals. Heat the wire and push it into the jellybean, no more roses coming off the wires. Just heat the straight end of the wire and push it in. I use denatured alcohol (it burns cleanly without a black residue) and a little alcohol burner.
