A very proud day for us as some of our Westwood EHS graduates visited our campus and connected with our staff! We couldn't be prouder of these kids, now young adults, as they prepare to receive their diploma! This is a big goal reached, for them and us! Awesome job and thank you for coming back!

This morning, Superintendent Burnes presented the School of Recognition banner to the Westwood staff. We are incredibly proud of the growth our students are making. This banner represents growth at the top 16% of schools in Washington State. This is Westwood's third year in a row to receive this recognition, which represents 2% of schools in Washington State!

Congratulations to all of the Westwood students who ran for ASB this year! We teach and hope that all of our students are leaders who help us set the tone for our school! Great job Westwood students!

Congratulations to our fifth-grade students for completing the DARE program. This updated program focuses on a decision making model for healthy decisions. We are so thankful for Black Diamond PD and Officer Hershaw for leading the program. Thank you to Council Member Deady and Enumclaw Fire for attending the ceremony and partnering with us as well! These amazing Westwood students are eating their lunch in style after purchasing VIP seating in our cafe with their Cougar Cash. They earned this from showing 3B behavior. Westwood kids are the best!

Each finalist will spend a full day meeting with principals, student leaders, staff, union representatives, and district leaders, as well as touring schools and district facilities. The community is invited and encouraged to attend the finalist public forums:

Students of the month for April were celebrated today! Students can be recognized by their teachers for their behavior, reaching an academic goal, or for showing great effort! Big thank you to Jersey Mike's Subs of Enumclaw for donating free kids' meals to celebrate their accomplishment!

Happy birthday to our Mrs. Carel! We are so thankful for the leadership she provides in her classroom, on our team, and for our school community! Happy day Mrs. Carel! We love you!

Westwood Spotlight: Big thank you to Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Shari for leading our Garden Club. For the last couple of weeks, students and teachers have been weeding and updating our garden beds. Mrs. Lee was awarded a grant to fund fresh soil and seeds! Excited to see wild flowers growing soon.
