Pirates and Mermaids Week!

This week, our summer campers had so much fun exploring our Pirates and Mermaids theme! Through art, imaginative play, and creative activities, the children learned about pirate ships, hidden treasure, mermaids, and adventures at sea.

Our campers created handprint pirates using paint and paper cutouts, as well as pirate- and mermaid-themed bracelets with fun charms. They also made pirate ships using paper plates, colorful cutouts, and sails.
The children designed beautiful mermaid crowns, pirate crowns, and colorful mermaid tails. These activities gave everyone a chance to use their imaginations and bring their own pirate-and-mermaid adventures to life!

Pirates and Mermaids Week was filled with creativity, laughter, and ocean-inspired fun. We loved seeing the children proudly share their special artwork with one another.
We cannot believe there is only one more week of summer camp left! We are looking forward to making our final week together extra special.

Under the Ocean Week:

Last week, our summer campers had a wonderful time exploring our Under the Ocean theme! Through art, play, and hands-on creative activities, the children learned about ocean animals and the amazing world beneath the sea.
Throughout the week, the children created many ocean-inspired projects. They made sharks, painted seashells, and added glitter to make them sparkle. They also designed colorful seahorses using paper plates, paint, and glitter.
In another activity, the children made bright orange starfish using paper cutouts and Cheerios to represent the tiny suction cups on a starfish’s arms. They also painted beautiful ocean-and-beach scenes with blue water and sandy shores, then added paper crabs to complete their creations.
Under the Ocean Week was filled with creativity, learning, and fun conversations about sea animals. We loved watching the children use their imaginations and bring their own underwater worlds to life!

🚀 Blast Off to Space Week! 🌎✨

Our campers have been on an out-of-this-world adventure this week! Classrooms were filled with rockets, planets, aliens, and big imaginations as children explored the wonders of outer space through art and creative play.
From glowing chalk galaxies and colorful oil-pastel planets to astronaut helmets, handprint aliens, and shiny foil rockets, every project encouraged children to wonder, invent, and bring their own universe to life.
Space Week sparked joyful conversations about stars, distant planets, astronauts, and all the exciting possibilities beyond Earth. We loved watching our young astronauts’ creativity soar! 🌟

🍳 A Taste of Our Little Chefs Week! 🍓
Our Summer Camp little chefs have been busy creating, tasting, and learning together! This week, children prepared waffles, personal pizzas, pasta, muffins, and refreshing fruit popsicles right in their classrooms.
Through measuring, mixing, assembling, and taking turns, they practiced fine motor skills, coordination, patience, independence, and teamwork. Most importantly, they felt the pride and joy of enjoying foods they helped create themselves!
We loved seeing their excitement as they explored ingredients, discovered new flavors, and celebrated their work as true little chefs in our Montessori community. 💛

We are delighted to share a glimpse into our Bugs and Butterflies Week at Summer Camp. It has been a joyful week filled with hands-on exploration and creativity, with children eagerly discovering the wonders of this special theme.
The children created a variety of bug- and butterfly-inspired projects, including painted ladybug rocks, toilet paper roll butterflies, pasta garden scenes, and fun crafts like caterpillars and ladybug crowns. These activities supported fine motor development, creativity, and an appreciation for the important role of insects in nature.
It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and imagination grow throughout the week.

We are excited to share a little glimpse into our summer camp—it has been such a joyful and enriching experience so far! Our children have been loving Art & Craft Week and Garden Magic & Farm Life, eagerly exploring a variety of creative, hands-on activities.
Throughout the week, they have experimented with different materials and techniques, from lacing activities that strengthen hand-eye coordination to painting with brushes, rollers, and unique tools. It has been wonderful to see their creativity, focus, and confidence blossom in every project.
We are so proud of their work and look forward to many more weeks of discovery, creativity, and fun ahead!
