Your PTO supports so many of the programs, events and enrichment opportunities that make Westwood Elementary special:

🎃 Family Events- Trunk or Treat, Movie Night, Dance, Bingo, Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad
🎨 Student Enrichment- Art Docent Program and Dancing Classrooms
📚 Classroom Support - Materials and resources for our teachers and classrooms
🏀🎼 PE & Music - Equipment and instruments
🚌 Field trips - each classroom received a grant to use towards transportation costs for off campus learning experiences!

Happy First Official Week of Summer! 😎

We want to say "Congrats!" to our amazing 5th graders as they finished their elementary career and gear up to enter middle school this fall. We had a fun time celebrating them with special cookies (thank you Rebel Baking Co. ) and a table full of goodies.

Our 5th graders had the opportunity to play at Dave & Buster's , and we heard they were treated to a wonderful day. Many thanks to the Pettit Family and Big Mountain Enterprises for your donation to the 5th grade celebration!

They all make Westwood so proud. Hope they have an amazing summer and best of luck this fall!

🍩Westwood Dads - you know how to show up on National Donut Day! 🍩

🍩Our last family event of the school year was a huge success. We love to see all of the dads, grandfathers, uncles and brothers on campus with their Westwood students. We had a wonderful group of mothers (and Mrs. Carel!) arrive early to help us set up - thank you!

🍩A huge thank you to Enumclaw Dental Center for sponsoring this event, as well as our local Starbucks for providing the coffee. Also, a big thank you to Branex Feed & Supply for lending us hay bales for our photo booth.

🍩This is the last PTO family event of our school year. Thank you to all of the Westwood families for the support you have given the PTO as we strive to provide assistance, funding and help to our staff, as well as opportunities to create fun and safe memories for our students. We have the BEST families at Westwood, and each day we are grateful for all that YOU do for Westwood.

See you this Fall for another wonderful year! 🐾

This morning, Superintendent Burnes presented the School of Recognition banner to the Westwood staff. We are incredibly proud of the growth our students are making. This banner represents growth at the top 16% of schools in Washington State. This is Westwood's third year in a row to receive this recognition, which represents 2% of schools in Washington State!

Last PTO General Meeting of the Year!

Hard to believe that we are just a few short weeks from the end of another great year for Westwood and our PTO. Our last General Meeting is scheduled for this Thursday at 3:45PM in the library. We invite you all to hear about how our year went, what we plan for next year, and any ideas, comments or concerns. Our leadership team will be changing up, and we will be voting in new members, and thanking departing members for the incredible work they've done.

We still have room on the PTO Executive Board! If you are interested in learning more, we invite you to this meeting. Students are always welcome to attend as well.

We hope you see you all on Friday for Donuts with Dad. This is a favorite event as we welcome Westwood students and their dads/grandpas/uncles/brothers/male role models to come together and enjoy a yummy treat and a fresh cup of coffee to start the day.

🌸 We had such a wonderful turnout for Muffins with Mom this morning! A big thank you to our fabulous volunteers who showed up early this morning to help set up, including Mrs. Carel and one lone rockstar dad!

🌸A huge thank you to Schoenfeld Farm Tractor & Equipment for sponsoring this beloved event, and to our local Enumclaw Starbucks for providing coffee.

🌸 Our community is what makes Westwood Elementary School a fantastic place to learn. Thank you to all the mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and female role models who showed up for their students this morning - it was great to see everyone!

We will see the DADS on June 5th for Donuts with Dad!
